Thank you for visiting River Place Mercantile! We are located in the Riverview Plaza in beautiful downtown St. Clair “on the river”, Michigan. We are a sewing center, specializing in quilt fabrics. We have a small gift shop area, also, which features locally-made, hand-crafted gifts.
Our quilt shop is growing by leaps and bounds. We get new fabric, books, and patterns every week. Our fabrics are top-quality – Moda, Benartex, Maywood, and more. We carry the full line of Maywood Shadow Play, which is layers of tonal texture in a full array of colors, We have some great kits, and are now starting to carry pre-cut quilt kits. Our teachers have put together a great class schedule – sign up today!
Our gift items are hand-crafted by local artisans. In fact, our gift items are Made in Michigan! We have hand-woven baskets, hand-painted birdhouses, framed photographs, soaps, wooden toys, and more.
