Welcome to River Place Mercantile

Thank you for visiting River Place Mercantile! We are located in the Riverview Plaza in beautiful downtown St. Clair, Michigan. We are a gift shop and a quilt shop. Our gift items are hand-crafted by local artisans. In fact, our gift items are Made in Michigan! We have hand-woven baskets, hand-painted birdhouses, bottles, wine glasses, and plates, hand-poured concrete garden items, and hand-crafted jewelry. We carry wreaths and wall hangings and lamps, as well as pottery and knitted items. Have a question about one of our items? Ask the friendly woman behind the counter. There is a good chance she's the artist who created it!

Our quilt shop is growing by leaps and bounds. We get new fabric, books, and patterns every week.  Our fabrics are top-quality. We have locally-made ironing tables. They are counter-height, and have a storage shelf. Order yours today!

We are offering a "Make Friends with your Serger" class on Friday, May 2, from 10-5. The instructor is Linda Lee Vivian - website http://www.lindaleeoriginals.com - cost is $30 plus workbook. Bring your own serger, and learn to thread it and use it in this fun-filled class. Call the store today to register.

Drop-In Mondays are from 10-2. Bring those unfinished projects in and sew with us!
