Do you have a quilt top that needs quilting and binding? Pieces of My Heart provides high quality, friendly, machine quilting services and quilting classes. Owned by Margaret Hall and Betty Fryer, these ladies use a Gammill Optimum Plus longarm sewing machine to complete your work of art. As the Gammill is NOT a computerized machine, highly experienced Margaret and Betty "draw" on your quilt with their sewing machine by hand, producing superior, one-of-a-kind results. Clip all threads, front and back-threads left behind will show through. Press all seems flat. Be sure you are satisfied with your quilt top. Fullness and puckers will not "quilt out." Tops that aren't square before quilting will not be square after quilting. Please keep your top, batting, and backing separate. We will layer them when we load them on the machine.Backing
Backing must be at least eight inches longer and wider than the quilt top. Piece and press back. Make sure your backing is square. We charge extra to piece, press, and square-up your backing.Batting
We prefer Warm and Natural batting. You can supply your own, or we can supply it for an additional charge. Please ask before purchasing other kinds of batting, including polyester.Description of Quilting Services:
Basic - large, free-form meandering
Basic Plus - more complicated meandering, stippling, denser quilting
Custom - Starting price for stitch-in-the-ditch, designs in blocks, outline and echo quilting, feathers, etc.
